Vampire's drink blood, but on Wednesday night during the "Vampires' Ball" at Zingerman's Roadhouse, they'll help people in the community get a good solid meal by supporting Food Gatherers. 6:30-9 p.m. This benefit for Food Gatherers pairs a multi-course dinner with an evening of spooky entertainment. Guests are treated to readings from bestselling novelist (and former Ann Arbor resident) Elizabeth Kostova, tarot card readings and other spirited activities. Tickets are $150 per person. If you miss this food gatherers event I believe Tappan Middle School in Ann Arbor has one in November. Need to call for their details. We went every year until ours moved on to hi school. Ypsilanti is having their Halloween downtown event this Friday. Wow, a lot to do between now and next week.
