Local band Lightning Love has a song featured in "The Virginity Hit."

Previously, AnnArbor.com reported on the prominent role played by Pioneer grad Zack Pearlman in the feature film teen comedy, "The Virginity Hit."

But the film has another local connection by way of a song on its soundtrack — specifically, the Lightning Love tune "Everyone I Know," which plays midway through the movie.

"We're all pretty excited about it," said band member Ben Collins via e-mail.

The local band consists of siblings Leah and Aaron Diehl, who grew up in Redford, and Collins, who grew up in Ann Arbor. Collins and Leah are recent grads of U-M's school of music, and Aaron is currently a student at EMU, studying creative writing.

Here's a clip of the band performing "Everyone I Know" in Hamtramck earlier this year.
