If warmth and comfort are what you seek, Pioneer's premier talent show, Future Stars, is happening Saturday night, or stop by several area libraries for free events. The Ann Arbor District Library has the AADL Kid-i-cotts, and the Ypsilanti District Library has Origami FUN-damentals and Superior’s Creativity Club at the YDL Superior Branch. You can even view the stars in the warmth and comfort of University of Michigan Exhibit Museum of Natural History with a planetarium show several times throughout the weekend!
On the martin Luther King Jr. holiday, Ann Arbor has a host of family and kid-friendly activities to celebrate King's life and legacy!

A couple other ice skating resources - don't forget Dexter's rink: http://www.annarbor.com/news/dexter/dexter-outdoor-skating-rink-reopens/ And, for people who live on the east side of Ypsilanti, Canton's ice rink, The Arctic Edge, is quite a bit closer than many of the ones in Ann Arbor and the prices are similar for open skating and rentals. http://www.arcticarenas.com/aehome.html
