Local harmonica ace Peter Madcat Ruth most often performs as part of a duo with guitarist Shari Kane. But Saturday at the Interfaith Center for Spiritual Growth, Madcat is planning a solo concert that will allow him to display his multi-instrumental chops.
In a solo show, Ruth is known to sing and play harmonica, slide guitar, baritone guitar, high-hat, ukulele, and jaw harp. His concert repertoire is eclectic, including both originals and classics. Blues and American roots music songs predominate, but elements of jazz and world music are also part of the mix.
Peter Madcat Ruth performs at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12 at Cafe 704 in the Interfaith Center for Spiritual Growth, 704 Airport Blvd. Admission: $8 for one, $15 for two.
