The Los Angeles Times' Jacket Copy blog has an interview with Susan Orlean, the successful writer ("The Orchid Thief") and University of Michigan graduate.

Orlean, whose new book is "Rin Tin Tin: The Life and the Legend," will visit Ann Arbor tomorrow for a special program devoted to the canine movie and TV star: The Michigan Theater will screen a classic Rin Tin Tin movie, "Clash of the Wolves," and Orlean will speak and do a book signing.

In the interview, Orlean talks about how she approached the new book and offers some thoughts on writiing.
