The Ann Arbor District Library's Downtown Library this week hosts a rare opportunity to watch som of the area's top songwriters at work.

At 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, the library will host a public meeting of the Yellow Room Gang. The gang is a group of local singer-songwriters, all well known in the area individually, who meet for songwriting sessions and also record and perform together.

At Wednesday's public meeting, each member will share a new song and the others will offer feedback. Past audiences have gotten involved in the critique portion. Participating gang members are Jim Bizer, Annie Capps, Kitty Donohoe, Michael Hough and David Tamulevich.

The library is located at 343 S. Fifth Ave. For more information about the Yellow Room Gang contact David Tamulevich at david@tamulevich.com. And if you like what you hear, the Gang will play a concert next month at The Ark.
