It’s Veterans Day.

Tonight, HBO is scheduled to air a much-anticipated new documentary, “Wartorn: 1861 - 2010,” that explores post-traumatic stress disorder among soldiers returning from war over the ages. Former "Soprano" star James Gandolfini produced the film. He's also behind HBO's 2007 documentary, "Alive Day Memories, Home From Iraq."

• A Philadelphia Enquirer writer who previewed the film said it shows combat stress is nothing new.

• A Daily Beast column points out the seemingly invisible cost of war - post-traumatic stress disorder - has been either ignored or called things over the years like cowardice, shell-shock or combat fatigue. It got its official name roughly 30 years ago, according to that Internet publication.

• What is PTSD? The Department of Veterans Affairs calls it an anxiety development that occurs after you've been through a tragic or life-threatening event, like combat, a terrible accident, sex abuse and others. Strong feelings may surface that cause you to relive the event at unexpected times. Read more about symptoms here.

Will you watch? Do you know a veteran suffering with PTSD? Watch the preview below and take our poll.
