Downtown Ann Arbor rated best downtown in America
My name is Maura Thomson and I am the Executive Director of the Main Street Area Association, a nonprofit, merchant based organization in the Main Street area. I have worked for the Association since 2005, taking over the role of director from my good friend Ellie Serras in October of 2008. I have lived in Ann Arbor for 10 years arriving here by way of Atlanta, Fairfield County, CT, and originally Everett, a city just outside of Boston.
I love our community and our downtown. Check out this blog for an update on downtown events, sales, happenings, anecdotes, construction, openings, closings, etc.... By nature I am not confrontational nor politically savvy, if you are looking for controversial topics and political nuggets I recommend City Council minutes.

Fine and dandy Im very concerned about the Street people at the downtown library They smell bad and I cant study in the computer room It realy is a problem which the library refuses to address These are professional street people who hang out all day

So the head of the downtown merchants group "rated" downtown Ann Arbor as the "best downtown in America." And she's going to tell us all about it I'm sure in the coming weeks. Are you kidding? Is this the type of propaganda that's going to be posted on annarbor.com? Give me a break! By the way, I've just "rated" your Website as second rate.

Well, they usually are peers and I would hope such a headline would be supported by peer review. While I am not disagreeing with you, I hope you find the peer reviews needed to make this headline stick!
