Shed the winter coats: Ann Arbor enjoys unseasonably warm weather

For year-round cyclist Rob Pulcipher, the weather is an added bonus to a good day’s ride.
“I ride all the time, so this is definitely an added perk,” he said, while gearing up for a ride in downtown Ann Arbor. “Let’s just hope the great weather lasts!”
A high of 53 degrees would be 22 degrees warmer than the January average, but it wouldn't set a record for this date. That was set in 1946 with a high of 58, said Dennis Kahlbaum, University of Michigan weather observer. The average high for early January trends around 31 degrees, and the low 19, Kahlbaum said.
The National Weather Service says a high between 49 and 53 degrees can be expected for this afternoon with partly sunny skies and winds blowing to the southwest at 10 to 20 mph. Expect to see a low between 28 and 32 degrees tonight.
The Ann Arbor area can expect a high tomorrow of 42 degrees with partly cloudy skies, and a late-night low of 25.

I was glad to learn in the Saline business break-in article that not all the snow around the businesses melted, that there were criminals' footprints in the SNOW, helpful to law enforcement officers.

We are suppose to get more of this, this weekend. I have my outfit all picked out. We had these temps in June while vacationing out in Montana. Love this weather.
