Ann Arbor's 1st Street to be closed Saturday for sewer work

First Street in Ann Arbor will be closed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday between Madison and Jefferson Streets for emergency work on a sewer.
Traffic heading southbound on First Street will be directed west on Jefferson and south on 2nd Street then east on Madison, according to city documents.
The permit to close the road was approved by city officials Thursday.
