Chelsea to host chocolate extravaganza Saturday
Chelsea stores and restaurants will feature all things chocolate Saturday during the city's fourth annual Chelsea Chocolate Extravaganza.
The annual event takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and more than 30 local businesses will offer free chocolate, sales, discounts and freebies.
There will be chocolate of all shapes and sizes in participating stores including truffles, cookies, fruit filled and freshly baked Jiffy mix treats.
Chelsea’s cafes and restaurants will offer chocolate desserts and drinks for sale.
Glee Cake & Pastry, a new business, will have baked creations including cupcakes and designer cakes. “We love being part of any day dedicated to chocolate,” Glee Havens, executive chef, said in a news release.
“We will be stocked with fresh pastries, cookies, cakes and filled cupcakes (and a few new treats) with a special chocolate theme,”she said.
Chelsea Center for the Arts will have an afternoon of art and craft activities for families between 1 and 4 p.m.
