Power restored in Chelsea following outage caused by animal

By Lisa Allmendinger

Residents on the west side of Chelsea lost power at 11:30 Friday morning when an animal got up on an electrical line and blew fuses in the primary line.

Chelsea Police sent an alert to residents and businesses saying the Chelsea Electric Department was on the scene and working to resolve the problem.

Brad Roberts, utility director, said the area affected was from Wilkinson Street to Old U.S.-12 to Cavanaugh Lake Road, and power was restored by 2:45 p.m.
