Chelsea police chief: 'Tis the season for 'our clients' to come out
With the start of the holiday shopping season, Chelsea Police Chief Ed Toth cautioned residents to be aware of their surroundings while out shopping.
“This is the time ‘our clients’ as I call them, come out,” he told the Chelsea City Council this week.
There have been several reports of retail fraud in the city during the last week.
“Be careful and be cognizant of the people around you in shopping centers and downtown,” he said.
Previously, Toth asked residents to be on the lookout for anything or anyone that might seem out of the ordinary and urged them to contact Chelsea Police to investigate.
He also said this is the season when roads get slick with both leaves on wet roads and snow and urged residents to be careful and slow down.
