Ann Arbor police have released a wanted poster for the man who they suspect robbed the Subway location on Eisenhower Parkway Tuesday afternoon.

Detective Bill Stanford said the man walked into the Subway, 885 Eisenhower Parkway, at about 2:20 p.m. Tuesday and hung around, telling employees he was waiting for a friend. When a store clerk came around the front counter to clean the floors, the man followed the employee through an entrance behind the counter and produced a handgun, Stanford said.

The man demanded money from the employee and took an unknown amount of cash, Stanford said. He then fled the store on foot.

On Tuesday evening, Stanford released some images of the man taken from the store’s security camera.

The man is described as black, about 5-feet-11 inches tall, average build with a goatee. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a brown and green coat with blue pants. Stanford said he had a goatee, was balding and was wearing white tennis shoes.

He’s estimated to be in his late 30s or early 40s, according to the poster.

Anyone with information on the robbery is encouraged to call Michigan Crime Stoppers at 1-800 SPEAK UP or Stanford directly at 734-794-6930.

Yesterday (in a2.com's write up) the perps coat was: "a blue coat with brown sleeves " Today it is: "a brown and green coat" The "Poster" just says: "a leather sleeve jacket" For the love of cheese can anyone tell me/us the pounds of fuel to thrust ratio for a space shuttle launch? ***

Thrust is in stasis, and thus independent of remaining pounds of fuel.

When are these large corporations going to invest in quality cameras to protect their property and employees?

"Large corporation"? Subway's are owned by independent franchise owners. Perhaps Congress should pass a law requiring everyone to purchase security cameras.

Well #1 when Ann Arbor Police need immediate eyes within the area, try stopping and letting employees (who are inquiring if there is a problem) who are in uniform of the local businesses know the description & issue at hand while you are patrolling the area like mad. When the Patrol Officers are rude and tell people "nothings going on, we got this handled", verses giving a description, it makes the department look bad when the next day they are asking for assistance.

The police never want the public's help, until they do.

Not the "brightest tool" in the shed getting caught on camera and now being hunted across the state for robbing a Subway. Brilliant end to an apparently subpar existence. Very sad. These criminals will never learn that most businesses now have cameras that will either catch their faces, their clothes, or their vehicles, so they will not be safe ... and for those riding the busses home, you are guaranteed a recurring shot on America's Dumbest People reality shows. LoL.

Robbing a Subway with the expensive menu...*snicker* is akin to robbing a Dollar Store...just how much can these store turn over in a day? Stupid is as Stupid does...

The WANTED poster says the suspect is in his 30s - 40s, not late 20s - early 30s.

Good catch. The description police gave us said 20s to 30s, but they updated that for the wanted poster. We changed the story to reflect that. Thanks.
