Police catch one suspect after caller reports tire theft in progress in Pittsfield Township
One person was arrested early Wednesday, accused of removing tires from a Cadillac parked at Glencoe Hills Apartments in Pittsfield Township, police said.
At 2:25 a.m., officers responded to an anonymous caller's report that two or three people were removing tires from the car and putting them in a Dodge Durango, which was parked in the lot with its doors open, a township police news release said.
When officers arrived, the suspects ran from the parking lot on Glencoe Hills Drive into the woods and one, a 24-year-old Detroit man, was arrested, police said.
Further details were not immediately available this morning.

I do no steal tires, but if I did, I would take the whole wheel with the tire already mounted. Seems like a waste (and a difficult job) to just steal tires.
