Deputies looking for man accused of beating, robbing Belleville man
Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office deputies are searching for a 21-year-old man who they say helped beat and rob a 20-year-old Belleville man, sending him to the hospital Sunday night.
Spokesman Derrick Jackson said deputies responded at 10:20 p.m. Sunday to Textile Road and Bridge Road for a report of a disorderly group about to fight. Deputies arrived on the scene and found the Belleville man lying on the side of the road with cuts on his face and back, Jackson said.
A woman had called the police and scared off the rest of the men, staying with the Belleville man until deputies arrived. About five or six men had been beating him up, Jackson said.
Huron Valley Ambulance took the man to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.
Three of the suspects have been arrested, but the 21-year-old man still is at large. A warrant filed for his arrest shows police want him for two counts of armed robbery, two counts of assault with intent to do bodily harm less than murder and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, according to court records.
AnnArbor.com is not releasing the man’s name because of the ongoing investigation into the incident.

Thank you to the woman who called police, scared off the men, and stayed behind. Most people, men or women, either wouldn't care enough or would be afraid to step into a situation like that. @Pick Unfortunately it's not just people from West Willow that cause these problems. Actually I know many people who live in West Willow that are not involved in any of the crimes in the area, although unfortunately they have at times been victims. Of course, I am not saying there aren't plenty of people living in West Willow that are up to no good, but from what I have seen, there are also plenty of people living near Textile and Bridge that are capable of such violent and unruly behavior.

One must comprehend what one reads... The only mention of "Belleville" is to establish the victim is a Belleville resident. 1. The piece clearly states that it was the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office responding. Belleville is in Wayne Co. 2. Textile & Bridge Rd. is in Ypsi Twp.

I will say again, I read "Belleville" in the story several times. No mention of West Willow in the story at all. Sorry Pick!

Not saying you don't know. Just reminding all that West Willow is definitely not the only source of our problems.

Can you say 'complete waste of time' comment? Reading is fundamental also, as West Willow is NOT in Belleville, Michigan...or near Textile Road.

Obviously it's a cheap shot at the WW neighborhood but the only mention of "Belleville" is to establish the victim is a Belleville resident. 1. The piece clearly states that it was the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office responding. Belleville is in Wayne Co. 2. Textile & Bridge Rd. is in Ypsi Twp.
