Pittsfield Township arrest three people after attempted break-in

By Kyle Feldscher

Pittsfield Township police arrested three people this morning after an attempted break-in in the 5900 block of Plum Hollow Drive, officials said Thursday.

According to police, an 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old man attempted to enter an occupied house by forcing open the front door. An 18-year-old woman was waiting inside of a car while the two men, one an adult and one a juvenile, attempted to get into the house.

Police responded at 7:54 a.m. Thursday to the 5900 block of Plum Hollow Drive, according to police.

Police said all three suspects are Ypsilanti residents. They did not manage to actually get into the home, police said.

The 18-year-old man was lodged at the Washtenaw County Jail on pending charges of attempted home invasion, police said.

The 16-year-old man and the 18-year-old woman were released, and charges are being submitted to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office for review. Police expect them to be charged with attempted home invasion as well.

The names of the suspects are not being released until they are arraigned.

It is the police beat, nothing more nothing less. All we want is the who, what, where, when and how. That is all covered here, no critiquing necessary. Now, if it were an expose on adults and juveniles conspiring to commit grimes with the assistance of the opposite gender there may be some reason to go over it with a fine tooth comb.

Stop complaining about our A A news staff and WCPD. If you signed up for the crime alert, which I get on my cell and e-mail, and what I hear on the police scanner. (nobody would have any complaints) No way could I walk in their shoes for 1 shift.

Where are the photos of the perps? This is sloppy and incomplete journalism.

At the time of this story, the names of the suspects were not released because they had not been arraigned. Sally, it's awfully hard to get pictures of people when their names haven't been released because we don't know who they are.

I'm sorry Mr. Feldscher, but your writing is the worst. Every time I see a poorly written article on this site, it has your name on it. It's seriously hurting the credibility of this newspaper. HAVE SOMEONE PROOFREAD YOU.
