Police investigate allegations of sexual assault by students at school
Pittsfield Township Police are investigating allegations that male students groped one or more female students at a charter school, WDIV reported.
The assistant principal at Eastern Washtenaw Multicultural Academy told the station that everyone allegedly involved is cooperating in the investigation and that the school is only aware of one alleged victim.
Pittsfield police said they hope to have the investigation finished within a week, the station reported.
Eastern Washtenaw Multicultural Academy, a public charter school with about 200 students, is located at 5550 Platt Road.

I know that in some cultures, if a woman has sex before marriage, then gangs of males feel it's ok to treat her in this manner.

This minimizes these sexual assaults and, for that reason, is offensive.

"males" and "females" Why not just call 'em what they are, boys and girls? And, this is newsworthy?

While important, and it certainly needs to be harshly dealt with, in years past it would not have made the newspaper due to the topic. All this does is embarrase the girl involved, as her peers can read. I feel for her, now. Do we really need to know what a middle school boy did? No. It is being correctly handled. It wouild be newsworthy if it were not.

Are you kidding me? An alleged sexual assualt on a minor doesn't constitute a newsworthy story to you? Where's the moral compass?

Are you the same commentator that keeps complaining about AAPS not handling problems with diffficult kids well? Seriously?

Your comment is the only one that makes sense to me. (and newsworthy, YES!)
