Police chase ends with arrest of man on suspicion of drunken driving
A 22-year-old Superior Township man who fled from police Thursday was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, Washtenaw County sheriff’s deputies said.
Deputies said the man was driving at a high speed near Dixboro Road and Huron River Drive in Ann Arbor Township about 1:45 a.m. Thursday.
They tried to stop him, but he sped away, according to a media summary. Deputies pursued him to Washtenaw Avenue and Golfside Road, where they arrested him.
Deputies said he appeared to have been driving under the influence of alcohol. He was taken to the Washtenaw County jail. The case is being sent to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s office for possible charges.

Stay tuned to see if some liberal judge will let him off easy even though drunk driving offenders fall into the same category with premeditated murders.

Charlie, I don't think the Sheriff's Department has to follow Ann Arbor City's policies, in regards to a non- pursuit policy.

Good thing he headed east instead of west, or Ann Arbor's non-pursuit policy would have allowed him to escape.

Lives can be lost in a pursuit. Don't go there as YOU have no idea.

I certainly hope there will be charges for speeding away from the police. Good Job WCSD !
