Teen driver arrested after traffic stop shows car was stolen, Ypsilanti police say
Ypsilanti police say a 16-year-old boy was arrested Friday night and a stolen car was recovered during a traffic stop.
Police said they will seek charges of receiving and concealing stolen property and driving without an operator's license against the teen. The boy was lodged at the Washtenaw County Juvenile Center, according to a crime summary sheet.
The teen was arrested after officers stopped a 2011 Dodge Caliber at about 8:30 p.m. Friday. A check revealed the car been reported stolen out of Washtenaw County and the boy did not have a driver's license, according to summary sheet.
No further details were available today on where the traffic stop occurred or where the car was stolen from.

THe punishment should be, No drivers license until he's 25! This would be a deterrent to other kids from driving illegally!
