Thief swipes high-octane fuel from business
Had the thief run out of gas, or was he or she just looking for anything of value?
Washtenaw County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a burglary and gasoline theft at a Salem Township business.

The thief or thieves entered through a ground-floor window, deputies said. Several items were stolen, including a 5-gallon can of 93-octane fuel. No arrests have been made.

This reminds me of the era when petroleum was relatively safe in this county - when Dan Minzey was sheriff. His face was affixed to gasoline pumps - with a stern warning to would-be thieves.
