U-M police investigating possible attempted arsons at South Quad
University of Michigan police are investigating two incidents of smoldering paper found at the South Quadrangle residence hall Monday that police believe indicate attempted arsons.
According to police, small amounts of smoldering material were found on the floor of a lower-level student supply closet at the dorm, 600 E. Madison St. The first incident was reported at 8:45 a.m. and the second incident was reported at 4:47 p.m.
Neither incident caused injuries or visible damage, according to police.
No suspect information was available Monday evening.

Is there anyone in custody for the arson of all those cars and that house on State St. where the young man died? How would a citizen follow up on what crimes of this magnitude are left unsolved?
