Washtenaw County man gets probation for failed gas station robbery

By Paula Gardner

An 18-year-old man who went with a friend when she tried to rob a gas station near Whitmore Lake was sentenced this week to probation, according to a story on LivingstonDaily.com.

Evan Hunter Riddell will be on probation for 18 months, according to the report, and he received credit for the 7 days he already spent in jail.

Riddell drove 19-year-old Skylar Anne Bailey, 19, of Whitmore Lake to a gas station on M-36 in Livingston County's Green Oak Township on Aug. 10. She attempted to rob the station, but the clerk refused to give up cash. She'll be sentenced for that crime next week, according to the report.

18 months probation for Evan, sounds proper. For Skylar, hope she is sentenced properly for the crime, she tried to rob the clerk. Good Job clerk, and officers.
