Dexter school evacuated after smoke smelled in building

Creekside Intermediate School in Dexter was evacuated this morning after someone smelled smoke in the building.

The Dexter Area Fire Department responded and checked out the building at 2615 Baker Road but found nothing, firefighter Dave Wiseley said.

Firefighters had returned to the station at 10 a.m., he said.

Everyplace I went in it my old intermediate school smelled like smoke.
