As folks in Dexter begin to put away the Christmas decorations, the village will begin Christmas tree collection on Tuesday.

There is no set schedule, the trees will be picked up as necessary, according to a village email update.

The village reminds residents not to bag their trees and make sure all tinsel and ornaments have been removed.

In addition, there will be lane closures because of construction at Ryan Drive and Dexter-Ann Arbor Road, also beginning Tuesday.

A partial lane closure on Dexter-Ann Arbor Road will be necessary from Tuesday to Thursday, the email states, but two-way traffic will be maintained.
