By Cindy Heflin

A high-speed police chase ended when a motorcycle rider crashed into a police car near Dexter Wednesday afternoon, media reports indicated.

The chase, which began in Hamburg Township, reached speeds of up to 115 mph, Detroit television station WDIV reported.

The chase began about 12:30 p.m. on Shehan Road in Hamburg Township, the Brighton Press & Argus reported. The officer chased the motorcycle south on Dexter-Pinckney Road until the two collided on a circular street off Island Lake Road, the newspaper reported.

As soon as I read "Hamburg Twp. police chase motorcycle", I knew we weren't dealing with much gray matter on ether end. When peanut butter collided with chocolate we got Reese's Cups. There may still be a chance for a flavorful out come!

Best to do spell check when speaking of "gray matter" on ether end?

Wonder if this will be one of those times where the police say they stopped chasing right before the guy crashed. Funny how that happens.

More hate for law enforcement. Not surprising.

Wonder if this will be one of those times where somebody insinuates it was the officers fault. Oh wait...

Almost as funny as how much you hate and mistrust the police

This just doesn't sound right to me. There's more to this story. A motorcyclist in tight quarters competent enough to "run" from the police isn't just goind to crash into a police car at 45mph and be so unscathed as to refuse treatment. Anyone ever get hit by anything at 45mph and not get hurt?

And the officer was real mad and the perp went to jail, charges pending.

This motorcyclist must have been wearing a helmet; he refused treatment and was sent straight to jail to await arraignment. A head-on collision, causing extensive damage to both vehicles, yet neither one was hurt? I'm guessing that 45mph was the fastest either one could go on a circular road. Must be a residential road.
