Motorists traveling through Dexter should be aware that Ann Arbor Street between Edison and Dover will be closed Monday and Tuesday because of a water main project.

The detour will be Fifth Street from Edison to Dover. Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.

In addition, some residents and businesses will be without water from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Monday as the water will be shut off on both sides of Dexter Ann Arbor Road from Baker to Kensington.

Those affected by the water shut off will be notified by Friday with a flyer on the door.
