Suspect arrested for stealing items from unlocked vehicles in Dexter
Deputies this morning arrested a suspect who was entering unlocked vehicles and stealing items in the village of Dexter, according to an alert from the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office.
Stolen items have been recovered, and deputies are looking to identify the owners, the alert said.
If you believe your vehicle has been gone through or you've had items removed from your vehicle, call 911 and report it, according to the alert.
Deputies reminded drivers to secure belongings out of sight and lock vehicles.

Good Job WCSD! Seems to me I heard on the scanner that a witness saw the suspect/suspects checking car doors, to see if they were locked or un-locked.
