Ah...but this story devoid if anything newsworthy did create a place for aa.com to run some more advertising. An awful waste of space. Get back to us when you actually have some information.

This story makes it look like parking a pickup on property along Parker Road calls out the police department. Of course "Police ponder parked pickup on Parker Road" wouldn't engender any interest in reading the "story".

The school at that address would be Dexter High School. Yes, I realize it could've been included with the article. I agree the details are very vague. More info would have been nice.

this is the type of horrible repoting that we have come to love at annarbor.com! it takes one approximately 6 seconds to copy and paste the adress and google it, or just some knowledge or the local area which would also be good for a news agency, to realize this is DHS. Pathetic!

To twist an old saying "If You Don't Have Anything Nice to Say, Don't Say Anything At All". I would say to AA.com If you don't have anything to say, don't say anything at all!

Could this story be any more vague? What is the name of the school? What was vandalized? How did they vandalize it? What does a "pickup" have to do with the story. My journalism prof is having a meltdown reading this right now.

The address is given. If you are familiar with computers the Blue writing is a link that takes you to a map and shows the exact location. If you have never heard of "turfing", look it up. I understand the story perfectly however I'm not that prof you had who sounds a bit unstable to "meltdown" over this.

". . . discovered a pickup" - someone waiting for a cab or bus? A pizza order to go? A questionable social encounter? Give credit where it's due - "investigation" is spelled correctly . . . three times in three lines.

Sketchy report here. "pickup" refers to a truck, I imagine. What damage did parking that pickup truck on the lawn do? Was the pickup truck stolen? This kind of thing wouldn't happen if the schools were all private academies, you know. All the teenage vandals would be forced to recognize & respect private property rights, you see. ;-)
