By AnnArbor.com Freelance Journalist

After a wintry start to the week, spring-like and occasionally blustery weather should move into the Ann Arbor area by midweek, when temperatures climb into the 50s.

The forecast calls for a high of 55 degrees Wednesday, with winds between 15 and 20 miles per hour and partly or mostly cloudy skies.

The start of the work week figures to be much colder, however, with Monday seeing a high of 30 degrees with a daytime wind chill as low as 9 and northwest winds between 10 and 15 mph.

Tuesday should warm up to a high of 48, with wind gusts up to 30 mph.

The mid-afternoon temperature of 34 degrees in Ann Arbor Sunday felt like 24 degrees with the wind chill. The overnight low Sunday was 25 in Ann Arbor and 27 at Willow Run Airport.
