Forecast: Rain and snow showers on tap for Ann Arbor

The skies are expected to smile on President Obama’s visit to Ann Arbor Friday, but first they'll give us a dose of unpleasantness.

A cold rain and snow showers could make for some unpleasant walking in Ann Arbor later today.

Rain and snow showers are possible today after 11 a.m. under mostly cloudy skies. A high of 35 degrees is expected.

Rain and snow are likely tonight, the National Weather Service said, with precipitation turning to all snow after midnight. Accumulation of about half an inch is expected. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent. The low will drop to around 28.

Friday, expect clouds early, then gradual clearing until skies become mostly sunny. The high temperature will climb to about 39.

Friday night, a 40 percent chance of snow showers returns after 1 a.m.

"The skies are expected to smile on President Obama's visit to Ann Arbor Friday". You forgot to add "as if heaven itself wishes to bestow its blessing on the event".
