Gas leak at U-M's North Campus contained, building to reopen at 5 p.m. Friday
The gas leak at the University of Michigan's Francis-Xavier Bagnoud, or FXB, building has been fixed, but the building will remain closed until 5 p.m. Friday.
Spokeswoman Diane Brown said refrigerant leaked in the penthouse of the FXB building, but exactly what caused the leak is unknown at this point. The building was evacuated, Brown said.
Emergency crews left the scene at about 1 p.m. Friday but Brown said the building would remain closed until 5 p.m. as a safety precaution.
