Google analyzes game-day searches; scarecrow couple 'kidnapped'

From a Google staffer analyzing top searches on football game days to a missing scarecrow couple, here’s a roundup of some of the stories posted on AnnArbor.com’s Community Wall over the past few days:

Here at Google, we thought we could bring a unique perspective to the ‘fandemonium’ that’s bursting out across the state by taking a look at patterns from search query data. We find that college football Saturdays, pro football Sundays and game nights for playoff baseball are flooded with searches on each of our respective teams.

A homemade scarecrow couple was discovered missing Saturday morning and is believed to have been kidnapped. The pair was last seen hanging out at their home on the corner of Bruce and Alice streets.
