Heavy rain, hail and temperature drop forecast for Ann Arbor area Friday afternoon
Temperatures are expected to drop this afternoon as heavy rain and thunderstorms move into Washtenaw County.
According to an alert from the National Weather Service, "the thunderstorms will not be severe... but will likely produce small hail or ice pellets."
The temperature as of about 11 a.m. Friday was 41, and that's likely to be the day's high. The low is forecast to fall to 32.
The forecast isn't likely to deter the start of Ann Arbor's "Festifools" weekend.
