New Year's Day set to be a windy one in Ann Arbor
A wind advisory goes into effect today with gusts reaching as high as 45 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
The wind advisory goes into effect from noon until midnight. The winds are forecast from the south and later from the west, with a 50-percent chance of precipitation.
It should be a mild afternoon, with a high temperature between 41 and 45 degrees before dropping below freezing on Monday.
