Jane Lumm will work to address concerns of citizens in Ward 2

Jane Lumm

Ann Arbor needs City Council members who listen to their constituents, and respond to their concerns in a thoughtful, detailed manner. Citizens should be represented on council and what they need, value, and are willing to pay for should be council and city hall priorities. Jane Lumm should be the choice in Ward 2. She researches issues, questions and projects relentlessly and thoroughly. She listens to all sides of an issue and explains her positions clearly. She seeks citizen input. When elected, Jane will represent Ward 2 - and the entire city - on these points:

  • Jane will work to restore police and fire positions.
  • Jane will examine all proposed expenditures and vote against those that lack hard evidence that they work as promised and benefit all the citizens of the city.
  • Jane will publicize details and funding of all projects to be sure that citizens clearly understand any risk to the city.
  • Jane believes new revenues should not be considered before more fundamental inter-governmental consolidation and restructuring of city employee and pension benefits to competitive and sustainable levels are in position to produce long-term savings to citizens.

Jane supports our parks and recreational facilities and will focus on improving and maintaining them rather than developing, leasing or selling them.

Jane is the clear choice for anyone who wants to ensure that Ann Arbor remains economically healthy and the wonderful place to live and work that we know.

Finally, an Independent Voice on Council that will listen to her constituents, not follow lock-step with the Mayor. Jane Lumm gets my vote!!
