Rollover crash injures 1 person on US-23 in Ann Arbor

By Cindy Heflin

One person was reported injured in a rollover crash on US-23 near Washtenaw Avenue on the east side of Ann Arbor Tuesday morning.

The crash, which occurred about 8:30 a.m., was not believed to be blocking traffic, a dispatcher with the Washtenaw County sheriff’s department said.

State police had responded to the crash on northbound US-23 north of Washtenaw Avenue. Pittsfield Township firefighters were also responding, the dispatcher said. Smoke had been reported coming from the engine compartment.

A Google map indicated a significant traffic backup in the area. No further information was immediately available.
