Included will be “a variety of educational enrichment activities and innovative teaching ideas” that were a part of the mini-grant or strategic grants that were awarded during the past several years, according to information provided by the group.
The foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides private funding to support academic projects, enrichment programs and other activities aimed at enhancing the quality of education in the Saline Area Schools.
It rewards excellence and innovation with individual teaching grants as well as funds for districtwide strategic goals.
FSAS raised $65,000 last year and in 2011-12, it will raise funds for books for classroom libraries through a campaign dubbed “Saline Supports Lifelong Literacy.”
Founded in 1987, the foundation will celebrate its 25th anniversary in March. Click here for more information.
