Semi rollover crash closes ramp to US-23 from Washtenaw Avenue in Ann Arbor

By Cindy Heflin

Two crashes are affecting the morning commute on Ann Arbor freeways today.

A semi truck rollover crash has closed the ramp from westbound Washtenaw Avenue to northbound US-23 on the east side of Ann Arbor, and a two-car crash has been reported on westbound M-14 at Barton Drive, a dispatcher with the Washtenaw County sheriff’s department said.

State police are on the scene of the semi-crash and crews are working to right the truck and remove it. The ramp has been closed since about 5 a.m. Police hope to have it reopened soon, she said just before 7 a.m. No injuries were reported in the crash.

Pollice had not arrived at the M-14 crash at 7:25 a.m., the dispatcher said. No injuries had been reported.

I know of three exits in that area of M-14, but not the exit number for Barton Drive, which is off EASTBOUND M-14. Your map of the area shows exits 3 and 4 for WESTBOUND M-14, which lead to Whitmore Lake Road and Main Street, not Barton Drive.

well this is good for me to know this morning. Not surprised at all of the Barton accident. It's only a prime accident spot, so many happen there.

probably (hopefully) a moot point now, but it was the ramp FROM WB Washtenaw TO NB US23 that was closed.
