University of Michigan's sailing club hosts Bone Chiller Regatta
Thankfully for those in attendance, the University of Michigan Sailing Club’s Bone Chiller Regatta didn't live up to its name today. The weather, though questionable at first, provided for a nearly perfect day for sailing - and chili.
The event brought together U-M students and alumni to Baseline Lake in Dexter.
“We all get to know each other and rekindle connections,” said Christina Baker, co-captain of the sailing team. “This regatta is more for social reasons and for keeping the club together.”
It may be a good time, but it’s still a competition.
Kevin Bosley, commodore of the sailing club, said the winner's name will be etched onto a plaque in the clubhouse. As part of his duties, Bosley also cooked up lunch for the attendees, including chili and hot cider.
The sailing club is open to the public and and anyone who loves to sail, even if they aren't affiliated with U-M.Â
