I heard this on a police scanner, they said a woman had been hit and killed! I don't know what she was doing out on the freeway, but it didn't sound like she was in a vehicle at the time she was hit. It took them a little while to even find her since it was so dark, and when they did, that's when they made the call to close down the freeway to do their investigation. Thoughts are with the family of the victim, and with the driver who hit her. I can't say anything to the state of the driver since I didn't hear anything about him (about him being sober/distracted, etc.)...this is possibly all just a very tragic accident.

Can I presume it has reopened?
