Sheriff's spokesman Derrick Jackson said no one was hit in the shooting, which occurred in the area of Rawsonville Road and Grove Road in Ypsilanti Township.

The suspected shooter was identified as Jovan Dorsey. Jackson said police don't know what led to the shooting, but Dorsey is accused of firing a gun six times at a group of younger teens.

Police have probable cause to arrest Dorsey, Jackson said. Dorsey is black, 5 feet 4 inches tall and 140 pounds.

Anyone who has information in Dorsey's whereabouts is asked to call 911.

There use to be a security guard posted at that site,We need more patrols,But with the economy its hard to keep employed for long periods of time where they can actually do something usefull. As for the shooter You can run and hide just for so long,He'll slip up and get captured. These young thugs should stay in school, learn a trade, get a job and eventually stand in the unemployment lines like the rest of us law abiding citizens.

@malorie I agree with you on being thankful that he did not hit anyone. Wannabe gangsters with a gun are very dangerous to begin with, anybody who shoots recklessly, and that is usually when a small child ends up getting killed. It's really too bad that our youth have become so hostile that the only way to solve a problem is by violence. Unfortunately, they find out MUCH too late that real life has no reset button!

Thank God he (apparently) was a horrible shot!!! One good thing about wannabe gangsters: they usually don't target practice.

I encourage this young man to turn himself in immediately. He could then be on probation by the end of the month.
