Experiencing a little country livin’ in downtown Ypsilanti

Ypsilanti resident Makayla Burby, age 12, feeds apples to an alpaca during Country in the City, an event featuring a petting zoo, face painting, and candle making at the Ypsilanti District Library on Michigan Ave. on Oct. 2.

A petting zoo, face painting, and candle making were all part of the recent Country in the City event at the downtown Ypsilanti District Library on Michigan Avenue. The free event was funded by Friends of the Ypsilanti District Library and the animals were provided by Chamberlin Pony Rides.
