Man crashes into building after being run off road in Ypsilanti Township

Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies are investigating the crash at a strip mall in the 300 block of South Ford Boulevard.
The man was not injured, but his vehicle and the building were damaged, township interim Fire Capt. Thomas Stachlewitz said.
Stachlewitz said the driver crashed into a steel door and picture window at 12:33 p.m in a vacant area of the strip mall, causing a fire to start underneath the SUV. The driver got out of the vehicle and the fire had extinguished itself by the time firefighters arrived, Stachlewitz said.
Washtenaw County sheriff's investigators could not immediately be reached for comment this morning.
Anyone with information can call the sheriff's department tip line at (734) 973-7711.

Actually if I think of where this place is? He crashed into a great place. Across the street from the fire dept on Ford at Russel. Interesting he would choose this spot. Good to hear person is ok and building looks fine.

See, we don't need Firefighters! Under Snyder, all fires self-extinguish!

Fires will self-extinguish if the amount of oxygen in its area is limited, like an enclosed space.
