Two burglaries reported on Emmet Street in Ypsilanti
Ypsilanti police are investigating two burglaries reported Monday on Emmet Street.
About 7 p.m., a woman reported that she returned to her home in the 200 block of Emmet Street after being gone for the weekend to find that a laptop computer and coins were stolen, a police crime summary said.
Someone entered the home through a side window.
At 8:05 p.m., a woman reported that she returned to her home in the 500 block of Emmet Street to find that it had been ransacked, the summary said. Police said a pair of shoes was stolen. It's unclear how someone got inside.

It is just so sad when one can't leave their home for a few minutes, few hours or a few days. I hope the suspect/suspects are caught soon. At this time I would like to give a Big Thank You to all Public Safety People. Their jobs are all about saving lives, while putting their own on the line.
