Ypsilanti Heritage Festival will go on - with changes and new volunteers
The Ypsilanti Heritage Festival will go on despite the resignation of several organizers, the Ypsilanti Courier reported.
Barry Marshall, chairman of the festival’s board of trustees, told the newspaper a large crowd turned out for an informational meeting about the festival earlier this month, and he was able to fill a couple of spots on the steering committee.
Marshall had earlier said the festival might have to be canceled or scaled back if new volunteers did not step forward.
Marshall told the Courier next year’s festival would include many changes while still maintaining its focus on Ypsilanti history.
