Ypsilanti police investigate burglary on Congress Street

Ypsilanti police are investigating a burglary reported Tuesday night in the 700 block of Congress Street.

A man reported at 10:16 p.m. that someone broke into his home and stole a television, some jewelry and a computer, a crime summary said.

Police do not have any suspects.

Police also are investigating a burglary reported Monday at an apartment in the 500 block of North Congress Street. The victim reported a stereo, video game system and some DVDs were stolen.

For the record, Congress isn't divided into North and South in the 500 block.

Time if day or night, locked or un-locked doesen't matter to these thugs. With out some knowledge from the home owner or witness, it is so hard on the police officers to find them or the items stolen. Sad, sad shape this world is in today.
