Down by 17 points midway through the second quarter, Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford and reclaimed and revived running back Kevin Smith put together a memorable second half.
The Lions finished with 495 total yards as Stafford passed for five touchdowns. Smith, out of the NFL just a few weeks ago, rushed for a career-high 140 yards and scored three times.
The most important statistic, according to MLive.com Lions beat writer Anwar S. Richardson? The Lions are 7-3 heading into a Thanksgiving date with the Green Bay Packers.
Seven victories, Richardson notes, are the most the Lions have had in a season since 2007.
