Four pitchers combine on one-hitter for Michigan baseball team and more Saturday results
Brandon Sinnery pitched seven strong innings and got plenty of help from the Michigan baseball team’s bullpen in a 4-2 win over IUPU-Fort Wayne Saturday at Ray Fisher Stadium.
Sinnery, a senior right-hander, didn’t allow a hit until the seventh inning before turning it over to Trent Szkutnik, Travis Smith and James Borque to complete the one-hitter.
Borque, a freshman from Huron High School, earned his second save of the season.
John Lorenz (1-for-3) and Coley Crank (1-for-3) had RBI singles in first inning for Michigan. Crank also drew a bases-loaded walk in the seventh and Patrick Biondi (2-for-3) added a sacrifice fly in the eighth. (Boxscore)
Michigan (10-12) committed three errors, allowing IUPU-Fort Wayne (5-15) to score unearned runs in the fifth and ninth innings.
The teams complete their weekend series at 1:05 p.m. Sunday.
