Two-sport star Drake Harris to reportedly choose between Michigan, MSU and Notre Dame on Wednesday

By Nick Baumgardner

One of the state's hottest prospects in the 2014 class will reportedly make up his mind.

Grand Rapids Christian football and basketball star Drake Harris will announce his college choice Wednesday, as first reported Tuesday night by GoBlueWolverine.com's Sam Webb.

Harris, a four-star guard in basketball and a highly-touted wide receiver, will reportedly decide between Michigan, Michigan State and Notre Dame.

Harris was recently rated as the 46th-best player in the 2014 basketball class by Rivals.com. Neither Rivals, nor Scout.com, have released 2014 football rankings yet.

The 6-foot-4, 180-pound Harris has offers to play both basketball and football at Michigan State and Notre Dame, per Rivals.com.

But, according to TheWolverine.com, Harris only has one offer from Michigan -- a football offer from coach Brady Hoke.

The only current 2014 basketball offers from Michigan coach John Beilein are to Rivals.com Top 50 prospects Devin Booker, Keita Bates-Diop and Trevon Blueitt. Booker ranks No. 31 in the 2014 class, Bates-Diop is No. 39 and Blueitt is No. 47.

Reports indicate that Harris would like to play both football and basketball in college.

Harris will actually choose AMONG U-M, MSU and Notre Dame. Two choices=between. More than two choices=among.

Probably better off at Notre Dame, that way he can play basketball in the Holiday tournaments they participate in, instead of getting ready for New Years day bowl game.

Well LAAND, graduates from all 3 seem to do pretty well in the marketplace. A 12 gauge slug will put a deer down at 40 yards whether it's put through a Mossberg, Winchester, or a Remington.

And that's where he would get the best education as well. ND ahead of both UM and MSU for undergrad schools.

Too bad, UM could use a good wide out.

Doesn't look good for U-M, even though I doubt Coach Beilein would NOT let him play B-ball too if he had a football scholarship. But, it's likely because Beilein hasn't offered, that there's not a good fit between Harris and the Michigan program for whatever reason. Good luck to him wherever he goes.

Wants to play both basketball and football but prefers basketball. UM offered for football only. Zero % chance he chooses UM. Next!
